Designs have been unveiled for the Mulva Cultural Center in De Pere, Wisconsin. OJB Landscape Architecture worked with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to design the development which overlooks the Fox River. The center will serve as a destination and a showroom for the city and region, presenting world-class traveling exhibits and activities. It will also have classrooms, a café, meeting rooms, an outdoor terrace, performance spaces and a veteran’s plaza.
The 60,000 SF building’s transparent design provides an elegant transition from outdoor to indoor spaces, creating visual connections from day to night and offering expansive views of the river. The landscape, featuring lush green spaces with local plants and grasses, incorporates pedestrian pathways and numerous public spaces, designed to increase connectivity to the site, the river and the city.
Groundbreaking is to begin in 2020 with a targeted opening in 2022.
