Scott Blons has been promoted to Technical Director. Scott joined OJB in 2012 and has extensive experience in construction management and leads OJB’s construction administration staff.  He has worked as a General Contractor on many large-scale commercial projects in Georgia, Colorado, Utah, Oklahoma, and now Texas. He completed work on the $800 million Devon Energy Headquarters in downtown Oklahoma City, OK, a major part of the city’s downtown redevelopment project, and the well-received Klyde Warren Park, a 5-acre deck park constructed over Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas, TX.  Scott served as Project Manager for the recently completed Levy Park, a highly programmed, 6-acre park in the heart of Houston and he is currently overseeing the CA phase of the 22-acre North Houston BMX Bike Park. His background includes hands-on experience in most phases of construction, and he specializes in pre-construction, trade coordination & management, cost & contract management, and conflict resolution. Scott’s experience in managing all construction trades and scopes of work is a great asset to the OJB team and portfolio of work.

Alex Nagel has been promoted to Senior Associate. Alex received his Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia and worked for several years in Atlanta at TSW prior to joining OJB in 2014. Alex is a registered Landscape Architect in California and LEED AP. Currently, he is involved in OJB’s Metropolis project in Los Angeles, along with offering technical support on a few local projects.

Nate Carvin has been promoted to Project Designer. Nate joined OJB in 2016, bringing several years of experience in community development and residential design. Graduating from Ohio State University in 2014 with a degree in Landscape Architecture, he also minored in City and Regional Planning while receiving Honors in Research distinction as part of a studio team receiving a 2014 ASLA Student Honor Award. A product of varying local environments, Nate continues to cultivate a range of experience with diverse native landscapes and their uses. He currently assists in project management and technical design for retail and commercial office projects as part of the San Diego studio.
