On February 22, AIANY will host their first event of 2018: Spaces of Action: Designing and Using the Public Realm for Change. The panel will examine how the design of urban public spaces can invite inclusive cultural gathering and foster healthy social life while creating new potential for political gathering and collective action. Cody Klein, Managing Principal from OJB’s Boston office, will be speaking on the panel with Susan Chin from Design Trust for Public Space, Matthew Lister from Gehl and Vincent Lee from Rogers Partners. The event is free, so come hear how open space design can shape our spaces of action!
