The Awards Committee of Boston Society of Landscape Architects announced the winners of the 2017 BSLA Awards Program and OJB took home an Honor Award in Design for The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. From over 100 entries, 27 projects were selected, representing a full scope of landscape architecture design and planning: residential, public, rural; new design, renovations, and restorations.
The Christ Hospital has been a leader in medical excellence for over 125 years. Given its growth, the hospital was in need for a master plan and expansion. OJB’s Boston office created a park like setting of serenity and relaxation with beautifully landscaped green roofs overlooking downtown Cincinnati. A series of landscaped courts dedicated to a wide array of departments and users also provides an outlet for gathering, waiting, reflecting, and healing. OJB’s landscape design implemented cutting edge sustainable practices and enhanced accessibility and circulation to contribute to the ultimate success of the project.
