Thanks to the folks at the Dallas Morning News for another great article on Klyde Warren Park, this time focusing on its role in the revitalization of Downtown Dallas.
The Dallas Morning News quotes John Crawford, president and CEO of the nonprofit Downtown Dallas:
“When people come, they have more places to go, and the park is in the middle of that,” he said. “Individually, there’s no one thing to focus on; it’s a number of things. But the biggest thing to move the needle was Klyde Warren Park.
Vice president at the Dallas office of CBRE Phil Puckett is also quoted. The Dallas Morning News continues:
“…rents near the park have jumped several dollars per square foot in the past few months. Some of the change may be related to the recovering economy,” he said, “but not all. Since the park opened in October, there has been a transformation in both Uptown and downtown,” Puckett states. “In my 20-year career, I’ve never seen anything create such a spark as that little park.”
