The role of open space in cities was a focus at the 2015 ULI Fall Meeting in San Francisco. Jim Burnett, President and Founder of OJB, spoke with a panel about the importance of creative place making and urban open space, and the impact both have to rejuvenating and revitalizing cities.
Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, winner of the 2014 ULI Urban Open Space Award, and Myriad Gardens in Oklahoma City, winner of the 2015 ULI Urban Open Space Award, have both become hubs for their respective communities. From children’s parks and dog parks, to restaurants and performance pavilions, OJB’s design of urban and public spaces incorporate various programming and something for everyone.
