In 2022, John Harper joined OJB, after having worked in Beijing, Melbourne, and Los Angeles. He earned his degree from the Royal Melbourne institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Design in Landscape Architecture, and later, a Master of Social Science in Urban Planning. As a Senior Associate, John is a talented Project Manager who has successfully managed a broad range of campus, mixed-use, and large-scale design projects throughout his career. A gifted teacher and leader, he enjoys the satisfaction of bringing design ideas from conception to reality. With a focus on creating open spaces that balance the complexity of environmental concerns with human needs, John strives to create verdant and vibrant places and to leave cities and ecologies better than we found them. Outside the office, John is an avid outdoorsman, with interests in camping, sailing, and competing in Ironman triathlons.
