Competitive Pay
Our compensation program is based on an equitable pay scale for all employees, gender pay equity for all employees, and a fair living wage that reflects the costs of living in a specific community or region. OJB team members participate in a bi-annual review process to foster career growth, and an annual discretionary bonus program based on performance.
Retirement Benefits
Full-time employees can participate in the OJB’s 401(k) retirement plan. The plan is ERISA compliant and allows employees to transfer income to an investment fund for retirement. OJB matches 100% of the Employee’s contribution up to a maximum of 4% of the Employee’s salary.
Medical Benefits
Full-time employees can participate in OJB’s health insurance programs. Under these plans, employees receive comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance coverage for themselves and their families.
Paid Time Off
In addition to sick time and nine paid holidays each year, incoming employees can accrue three weeks of paid vacation time each year. Vacation time accruals increase with employee tenure.
Charitable Giving & Stewardship
We believe in giving back to our communities and encourage charitable giving by our employees. OJB provides an annual match for each employee’s contribution to a registered non-profit organization and up to 8 paid hours for personal volunteer time to recognized 501(c)(3) organizations.

Supporting team growth and development is a top priority for OJB. Reimbursement for professional association memberships, continuing education, licensure renewals, professionally accredited exams, and conferences are just a few of the areas where reimbursement is offered. Team members also have access to an extensive in-house library of training resources and our new hires are set up for success through the New Hire Ambassador Program.
Internships are crucial as they provide invaluable experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge, develop essential skills, and build industry connections that enhance their career prospects. OJB is also a proud founding member of the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Ignite program, a comprehensive program for BIPOC* college students, providing participants with an annual $10,000 scholarship, annual paid summer internship, and access to mentors throughout their educational path.
