GE held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Boston headquarters on May 8. The $200 million campus, located on the edge of Fort Point Channel in the city’s Seaport District, is named Innovation Point and OJB designed the landscape and various outdoor public spaces for the site. The project site is originally part of an old candy factory, and GE plans to renovate two of the old buildings and build a 12-story tower designed by Gensler on an adjacent lot.
