Sunnyland Center and Gardens In Rancho Mirage, California is hosting a summit between President Barack Obama and His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.
Dubbed the Camp David of the West as a result of its history as a host of many presidential meetings, Sunnylands was the location of choice for the June 2013 meeting of President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping. This meeting, also covered in the LA Times, was the beginning of President Obama’s place in this tradition, which he will continue this weekend. OJB worked alongside architect Frederick Fisher Partners, Mrs. Annenberg and the Sunnylands Estate to develop an iconic desert garden and center for the estate, which was completed in 2012.
