On Saturday, July 28th, the Metropolis Tower II opened in Los Angeles, CA. Metropolis is a mixed-use development encompassing 6.3 acres in Downtown L.A.’s Central Business District and features three residential towers, the boutique Hotel Indigo and 70,000 square feet of retail space. Developed by Greenland USA and currently the largest mixed-use development in the Western United States, Metropolis also unveiled its 60,000-square-foot Sky Park, one of Tower II’s many unparalleled amenity offerings, designed by OJB.
“A California modern aesthetic influenced the curated plantings and the landscape architecture at Metropolis—all designed to provide unique sensory experiences,” said Kyle Fiddelke, ASLA, Managing Principal of OJB. “The landscape pays a lot of attention to creating distinct spaces for all ages, day and night.”
The 60,000-square-foot Sky Park celebrates California’s temperate climate and lifestyle by providing generous outdoor living spaces that create an atmosphere of comfort and escape. There are numerous areas for residents to socialize with friends including the pool, outdoor kitchen, activity lawns, dog park and children’s play area, or just relax by sitting in the picturesque spaces, situated in a richly landscaped garden and designed to take in the dramatic views of Downtown and the Hollywood Hills.
