The Garden Conservancy Book Talk

James Burnett, FASLA, founding partner of OJB Landscape Architecture recently sat down with James Brayton Hall, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Garden Conservancy to talk about the overarching themes that run through the firm’s work. Jim shared notable examples of creative planting and approaches in American gardens with several hundred participants in a lively virtual format.

Their conversation centered around the imperatives of community input and support for parks and gardens, and how responsive planting design can continue to surprise and delight visitors as gardens transform over time. The talk coincided with the fall publication of Envisioning Landscapes, the new monograph published by Monacelli.

The Fall 2021 Literary Series is presented by the newly established Frank and Anne Cabot Society for Planned Giving, in partnership with Phaidon and Monacelli. Additional support for these programs was provided by Celia Hegyi, the Coleman and Susan Burke Distinguished Lecture Fund, and the Lenhardt Education Fund.
