About Addison Martin, ASLA

Addison, a Master of Landscape Architecture graduate from Utah State University, combines multidisciplinary design expertise with a passion for dynamic landscapes.  She has excelled in research and studio assistantships, a prominent real estate development competition, and found her niche in the intricate puzzle of urban design. Addison’s research focuses on negotiating landscape services for both human and non-human audiences as well as implementation of nature-based solutions (NbS), and multi-sensory avenues in design education. As the former Speaker Series Graduate Student Coordinator, WxLA Chair of her student ASLA chapter, and as Director of Strategy empowering women and non-binary individuals in outdoor recreation, Addison loves engaging with her community. Addison’s accolades include being a 2024 Olmsted Scholar, receiving the Graduate Student Honor Award from the ASLA Utah chapter, and being the sole recipient of the graduate student of the year for both years of eligibility while at USU. Her commitment to resilient landscapes and community impact shines through her accomplishments and she is eager to work on complex problems in a time of shifting climates and increasing demands of the compounding anthropocentric and ecological systems.
