Charlie joined OJB’s Houston office in 2013. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virgina Tech. As an Associate Design Director in OJB’s Solana Beach office, Charlie provides key design and project management for landscapes across a wide range of typologies, from academic facilities to large-scale masterplan developments. He strives to push the limits of design with every project, deploying softscape and hardscape materials to amplify their role in making accessible and humanistic green spaces. He is a firm proponent of sustainable design and hopes to see more innovation with natural materials and local planting palettes in the profession. Growing up in Atlanta, Charlie became interested in horticulture and the installation of landscape while working at a tree nursery while attending high school. Outside of work, Charlie is a passionate international traveler and finds design inspiration from exploring the diverse landscapes of the world.
