Juan joined OJB in 2018. He earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University -Pomona. As an Associate, Juan Prieto possesses a diverse skillset acquired from his prior experience in residential design, construction, and garden maintenance. He finds inspiration in his fascination with nature, technology, and climate change. Juan’s proficiency extends across various areas, enabling him to excel in both small-scale and intricate projects that emphasize the intersection of landscape systems, culture, and the built environment. His primary focus revolves around celebrating and shaping the urban environment through ecological and cultural values, with a particular passion for planting design. He firmly believes that as a designer, he has the potential to effect substantial change, not only in people’s park experiences but in the lives of people and animals for generations to come.
