Richard Neuffer earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and is a licensed Landscape Architect in California. As Associate Technical Director in the Solana Beach office, Rick is a key conduit between civil engineers, structural engineers, and architects on all stages of landscape construction. His extensive background in construction detailing and knowledge of contextual design principles is a strong platform in which to translate complex design plans into productive, stress-free construction processes. With over 23 years of experience, he offers a comprehensive grasp of design, collaboration, coordination, and construction processes, particularly within the realm of high-end retail and resort landscapes throughout southern California and Las Vegas. Joining OJB in July 2023, Richard hopes to bring his passion for creating human-centered spaces to the Solana Beach team.
